Write A Novel in November!
NaNoWriMo or National Novel Writing Month began yesterday but it's not too late to get in on the action. In case you've missed the posts from Eisel and me in the past, NaNo is where people all over the world attempt to write a 50K word novel in 30 days (aka November.) It's fun, crazy, leads to lots of dirty dishes in the sink and wearing the same pair of jeans until they can walk and talk but it's a creative whirlwind and so much fun!
If you've ever wanted to try, go sign up now (the servers are a bit over-loaded at the moment but things should settle down soon) and start. There are a few rules but there is also a group of NaNo rebels breaking those rules. www.nanowrimo.org

This is a really cool concept. Wish I had known about it last year.

National Novel Writing Month
Once again it's time for National Novel Writing Month! If you've ever wanted to try your hand at writing a novel, November is your month! People all around the world will be joining together to try to write a 50,000 word novel in the 30 days of November!
This is a fun, free event and there are regional groups offering parties, write-ins, camaraderie, hints, tips, gift bags (if you're very lucky,) NaNoWriMo stickers and more.
You don't have to be Anne Rice, Neil Gaiman, Laurell K. Hamilton, or Frank Herbert to participate - you just have to be willing to write lots and lots of what could be perfectly horrible prose for thirty days. It's a wonderfully creative exercise and great way to turn on your creative engine.
If you'd like to join in, please visit www.nanowrimo.org to sign up. It's a blast!
